Settld’s Star is on the Rise
SETTLD’s star is rising as it wins a string of accolades and awards in recent days, proving that the young startup business is already making a major difference to people’s lives nationwide.
Settld was selected as a Northern Star – one of the top nine most exciting startups at the Northern Tech Awards which celebrate the best technology companies in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Headquartered in the North East of England, Settld was also highlighted by the judges in the inaugural Go Further Investment Index as one of the six businesses which “exemplify their respective sectors”.
The index aims to inspire and support startups and SMEs on their growth journey. As a result Settld was one of the companies featured by UMi.
Settld’s co-founder Vicky Wilson was also selected to speak from the main stage at the world’s biggest tech conference, Web Summit in Lisbon, earlier this month.
Vicky Wilson, CEO of Settld, said: “We are thrilled to have been selected as a Rising Star at the Northern Tech Awards and privileged to have been listed in the Go Further Investment Index. It was also a terrific honour to have featured at Web Summit.
“These accolades show that we are being recognised as a company which is using technology to make a positive difference by fixing a major pain point in people’s lives.
“Dealing with heaps of account admin following a death is unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming. At Settld, we are changing the way bereaved families deal with the death of a loved one.
“We have started with accounts but there are countless other problems to fix, and we are determined to be the company which revolutionises end of life administration and brings the death sector into the 21st century.”
